Looking for something a bit cooler ... not possible I hear you all say.. An Amazonas Tarp Hat is the tops...Well now we have a little twist on our Canvas Tarp Hat, all the style and ruggedness of our original hat but now with vented sides..... all made from recycled burlap sacking/jute which when hand sewn by our craftsman end up with a Tarp Hat that is truly wonderful.
The Original side vented tarphat vented side fabric is recycled from old sacks used for carrying dried rice and black eyed beans to the markets in Brazil, once we have sourced the material it is prepared into a soft but ridged material which blends fantastically with our standard tarp material.
The original Vented hats could come with a patch or two showing its past life on the road
We are all unique so why not reflect this in our clothing rather than wearing the same old things offered in the high street stores.

I have been searching for a unique vented hat for ages. The quality is awesome and the fact that each hat is essentially a one off as they are hand sewn well i couldnt be happier.It is amazing to wear and looks great too.Also being eco friendly makes me feel extra good with the purchase. and the products are not expensive at all. Great treat for yourself or someone you know that could use a lovely hat.Highly reccommended.

Overall just simply a good hat. Good size brim to keep the sun off. Measured and sized well so is a good fit. Good weight so it doesnt blow off easily. Material feels like it will be hard wearing and so good value for money. Would recommend.

I first purchased one of these hats about 18 months ago and was extremely impressed and pleased with it Due to a forthcoming holiday my wife was also looking for a hat and loved mine so I not only purchased an additional one for her but also treated myself to a baseball cap..These hats are very strong and well made and are my go to hat for any weather I really cant fault the hat sales contact or speedy delivery

I bought this to replace a tarphat Id had for years but sadly lost. Im pleased with the replacement. These are excellent hats. I have a large head so normal sized hats dont fit. The sizing is accurate but Id suggest erring on the larger size if you are unsure.

I was delighted to find these recycled material hats in such great designs. It arrived really quickly very well packaged and is exactly as described. I am really happy with my new wide brimmed hat and am wearing it all the time My colleagues at work will be ordering their own I think and a friend in Serbia wants to know if they can get one delivered to them there A great hat really comfortable and looks amazing. I bought this for my wife to wear on our Summer holiday in Cornwall. She says it is so comfortable that she forgets she is wearing it. The chin strap helps stops it blowing away on the Cornish coast path. It certainly protects from the harsh rays of the sun. Rugged and Functional

I ordered a wind strap with the hat and the fitting instructions referred to a small black retaining loop in the crown. however no loop so the strap is unsecured at the back.Apart from this small defect Im.very pleased am considering now buying a standard hat as the weather is turning colder

Ive got numerous hats and I like this one a lot. My size was bang-on large checked with a SECA Measuring Tape 201 but this one ran-up a tad too big but nothing that couldnt be covered by the insurance of buying a wind-strap. Im moulding mine into a Barry Mackenzie.

Was very pleased with the first one of these that I bought that I decided to buy another one for work. I work outside most of the time. Only slight issue was that I ordered the one without rare patches but received one with the patches. Not really an issue for me but its just worth checking that you get what you asked for.

Really like the concept of recycled materials. Tough fabric. Quite clear on the website regarding the importance of measuring before buying.Packaged well and an attractive product for m6self as a gardener. The hat feels tough and provides protection without feeling either heavy or tight on the forehead when working for a day in the sun well the british sun. I expect Ill have this for years. I just bought the basic hat no add-ons. Delighted with purchase so much so I bought one for my wife..

2nd Tarphat bought the Wide Brim one to replace old hat very pleased so got the Vented Trp Hat for the summer. The vented hat brilliant but rain has made it redundant at the moment so the equally brilliant wide brim hat stops the rain.

Great hat fit was perfect and during the hot weather to feel a breeze on your hair while wearing a hat is priceless.Ive been using my hat for dog walking and when playing golf and it was just what I wanted in a hat build quality was excellent and unlike other hats Ive purchased there was a bit of stiffness to the brim which I really wanted.I would recommend and the younger element in our family were very impressed and are looking to purchase the peaked caps.

Very happy with my Tarp Hat. It is well made comfortable and has a bit of character. Im glad that I also ordered the leather cord chin strap. Once the wind gets up it is certainly needed.My only slight niggle is that the round plastic clasp used for tightening the chord under the chin is too big to comfortably tuck up into the hat when the chin strap is not needed.

Its a good hat. Although we measured and selected an appropriate size it came up a little large. This was sorted by stitching the elastic band a little tighter.

Well made and durable hat. Looks like it will last forever. The brim affords protection from the sun and the vented area allows the breeze in to keep your head at a comfortabletemperature. From new it looks lived in and unique. Definately 5 out of 5.

Came across this while trying to replace my vented Brahma bush hat. Yes they looked different - I like that lived in look - but the clincher was the review of the customer service. Order placed hat arrived and was initially just too tight. Contact Tarp hat n they very quickly send out the next size up with sizing bands included with option to try both keep the best one n return the other. Never had that level of service online anywhere. Now I have a unique hat that fits perfect as a result of a company that wants just that. Thank you Ana and all at Tarphat.

I am almost at a loss of words which is most unlike me to say what a brilliant customer service I received from these guys. I had a tiny almost not worth mentioning point that I put to Tarp Hats and the response I had was instant and completely unexpected and shows that customer service support and care with these guys is second to none and in no way over looked. All I can say is that they now have a repeat customer a sales man out there that does not charge commission and a loyal believer in their product.
