De originele Amazonas Tarphat met brede rand is gemaakt van gerecyclede zeilen van open vrachtwagens die van het noordwesten van Amazonas naar het zuiden van Brazilië rijden over duizenden mijlen onverharde, roodheidige wegen, waarbij regen, zon en stof het materiaal op een manier verouderen die geen enkele fabriek ooit zou kunnen nabootsen. Daarna wordt het materiaal gewassen en voorbereid om te worden omgevormd tot "waarschijnlijk" de beste originele Braziliaanse zeilhoeden die er te krijgen zijn. Alle hoeden hebben dus meer weerzien dan de meeste van ons in een mensenleven en hoeven niet onderhouden te worden en zijn klaar voor hun volgende taak: je beschermen tegen de elementen en er tegelijkertijd behoorlijk cool uitzien.
Alle hoeden zijn uniek en geen twee zijn hetzelfde. Sommige hebben reparatieplekken, andere hebben stempels of opschriften. Dit draagt allemaal bij aan hun charme en ze zijn net zo uniek als ieder van ons... hier geen massaproductie, alleen maar individuele stijl! Je kunt je Braziliaanse Tarphat nu in het Verenigd Koninkrijk voor een geweldige prijs bemachtigen, zonder tussenpersonen en terwijl je daarmee de kleine winkel in Brazilië draaiende houdt. Bovendien gaat 50 pence van je hoedenaankoop naar het leveren van schoon drinkwater aan afgelegen dorpen in het Amazonegebied, waardoor ze een geweldige ecologische aankoop zijn.
Bij Amazonas Tarp Hat heb je een keuze en kun je het type hoed kiezen dat je wilt. Maak je keuze uit de Original Tarp Hat, die één of twee opvallende plekken kan hebben, de Extreme Patch-optie die, zoals de naam al zegt, er een heleboel heeft, of de zeer zeldzame Tarphat met Portugese markeringen die echt heel kenmerkend zijn. Its a joy to finally have a hat that actually fits me. Im so used to buying the large size and getting a headache from the pressure but not with Tarphat. This one is exactly as described true to size well made comfortable and everything I was hoping for.
Great looking hat really lightweight and comfortable.
This is my 4th Tarp hat. I still wear all 4 for different jobs due to their age and look but all are in great condition. I just buy a new one as a tidy option when needed. Would thoroughly recommend you buy one as you wont be disappointed.

I love my wide brim Tarphat it looks great really distinctive.The first one I received was a bit too big.I returned it and Charlie said hed find one that fitted the measurements I provided.The second one was spot on.Highly recommended.

Recommended by a friend this hat ticks all the boxes - recycled fabric hard wearing comfortable packable and does what it is meant to do keep the sun off and oh yes looks very cool.
Great hat an original and fun idea that I hope does some good. The price is reasonable and the shipping cost too. Received promptly and as described.Just one small thing I have a large head a 3xl in Tarphat sizes. The hat has the right circumference and a proportionally large brim but I feel they dont scale the depth of the crown in proportion and it sits a little flatter on my head than Id hoped.Something to consider but either way I would not hesitate to recommend this as a practical and fun hat for the price and with efficient service too.

Over the moon with my Tarp hat the packaging was damaged but that wasnt your fault just careless handling somewhere on its journey to me. Important thing is the hat was not affected and its already done its job keeping my head dry in a very heavy downpour that wet through my jacket.
